Making Necklace Charms

If you are thinking of making crafts then one of your projects could be the making of necklace charms. Necklace charms can be a sign of memories or a type of message that you could keep for yourself or give to your family members/relatives or friends.

Necklace charms can be almost anything as long as you can hook it to the necklace through a wire or frame and yet still be light enough to be used as a charm. Making these charms is pretty much easy to do. They can be easily attached to the necklace. In addition they are easy to make for the materials and tools used for making the charms are small enough to carry around. So if you choose to make one randomly and add it to your necklace you may do so anytime.

The things you will need for necklace charms are jewelry wire, needle nose pliers. You may also use pencil and eraser. First step will be to decide which object you would like to use for the charm. Does it need to be framed or can you put through the wire and clasp it to the necklace already? If you already figured that out you can start cutting about four inches of jewelry wire. This is for an object that has a hole. If the object however does not have a hole then you will need longer wire, about six inches, to make a frame for it. Do not cut the end of the jewelry wire. Next step will be to pass through the wire into the hole and get both ends of the wire and twist it tight. Use the pliers to twist and then when there’s only about ¼ inch left for space turn the end of the wire into a loop. Shape the loop like a hook so it can be held in place. If the necklace charms you are about to make does not have a hold then make a frame by wrapping a wire around the object. Keep wiring around the object until it is held in place. Then make a loop and you have a necklace charm.
